Centrify, a provider of privileged access management (PAM), Tuesday unveiled its new Reliance Partner Program to help partners meet demand for identity-centric PAM.

The updated, enhanced partner program replaces Centrify’s previous programs. It’s geared toward VARs, SIs and MSPs.

Centrify’s Chris Peterson

Chris Peterson is Centrify’s vice president of worldwide channels and alliances. He said his company wanted to become even more relevant to its partners.

It also wanted to add more value to grow partnerships over time. Doing so ensures “we become a bigger part of their businesses,” he said.

“We’ve built a whole new host of certification offerings and classes, which focus on the partner’s ability to satisfy the customer and give them more service opportunities,” Peterson said. “These are delivered both on demand and virtually, to make the trainings more accessible during the pandemic. Not only do we have new classes relative to sales certification, but also implementation services, integration services and health checks for customers. The health check is really important, so we can optimize their success and create a larger footprint within the company for Centrify and the partner.”

Centrify is extending deal registration time. It focuses on larger enterprises, which often take longer to close, he said.

Centrify has also updated its tiering program so partners can elevate to the level that is best for them.

“In short, everything we’ve done is centered on building mutual confidence and mutual investment, which results in mutual reward for both Centrify and our partner community,” Peterson said.

What Partners Wanted

Centrify spent a few months asking partners what enhancements/changes they would like to see, Peterson said. Given Centrify’s goals for mutual customer success, it developed the Reliance program, he said.

“[Partners] can offer customers identity-centric privileged access management that goes beyond legacy PAM approaches,” he said. “As organizations continue their digital transformation journeys, they struggle to manage identities that are fragmented across hybrid and multicloud environments, resulting in data breaches, audit findings and unnecessary overhead costs. Centrify identity-centric PAM addresses this challenge with a cloud-native solution that simplifies privilege management by centralizing fragmented identities, improving audit and compliance visibility, and reducing risk, complexity and costs for the modern, hybrid enterprise.”

In addition, the new program will register customers to one partner, Peterson said. That gives the partner the ability and advantage to build up a large number of Centrify bookings, he said.

“Registered partners will have around a 20% margin advantage over those who are not registered when pursuing renewals, so they can expand their reach within customer accounts,” he said. “We want to give the advantage to the incumbent partner to ensure customer and partner satisfaction.”

“We are very excited about Centrify’s new Reliance Partner Program and the opportunities it creates for us to provide multicloud-ready PAM solutions to our customers,” said Paul Bedi, founder and CEO of IDMWorks. “Partnering with a world-class leader like Centrify that specializes in centralizing identities and securing privileged access ensures we’re continuing to lead the way in offering our customers’ solutions that solve the business challenges they are facing today.”
