Brother Launches Authorized Partner Program for SMB Resellers

Brother International recently unveiled its new Authorized Partner Program aimed at its SMB reseller partners. The program was designed specifically to help VARs and solution providers to drive sales and provide new solutions amid the changing printing needs of their SMB customers, according to the company.

Most small and midsized businesses do not have the same printing requirements as they did several years ago, now that workers are rapidly transitioning away from physical documents, according to Dan Waldinger, director of Solutions Marketing at Brother. The new partner program is expected to help resellers introduce products and solutions better tailored for the modern mobile enterprise setting and provide resellers with the incentives they need to profit in the SMB space.

“We’re really rolling out this partner program to sign up new deals and VARs for Brother to grow that channel,” said Waldinger, in an interview with The VAR Guy. “Everything we’re doing with this program is [aimed at] driving sales through the channel.”

Brother is providing SMB partners with a Managed Print Services and Volume Print Program solution to help secure long-term contracts with per-page printing discounts and a low total cost of ownership, in addition to an extended warranty program and discounts on certain supplies, according to the company. The new program will be compatible with other print monitoring software packages and non-networked configurations and is backed by a dedicated sales team and field sales force for additional deal registration opportunities and a pricing program for bids. Partners will also have access to limited distribution products that are not sold in retail stores or online through the program.

The Authorized Partner Program is being marketing in conjunction with Brother’s "Don’t Supersize. Optimize" campaign to help SMBs adjust their printing practices to the growing mobile workforce and save money on their enterprise printing expenditures. The initiative seeks to help enterprises working with traditional high-end printing devices to take a closer look at their overall printing needs and adjust accordingly to save money while making print services more convenient for employees.

“Brother and its partners are ready to work with SMBs to deploy the right number of devices, in the right places,” said Waldinger in a statement. “We have the printing and intelligent scanning technology needed to build customized solutions that can help businesses realize cost savings and help increase productivity and worker satisfaction.”
