Avnet Technology Solutions is now distributing Rorke Data’s Galaxy Archive, NAS and RAID storage solutions. Rorke Data is officially owned by Avnet, so this move is an effort to add new storage sales opportunities for Avnet’s channel partner customers. Here are the details …

Even though Avnet owns Rorke Data (since July 6, 2010), the storage company continues to support its own customers and maintain its existing customer base. Avnet now is bringing Rorke’s lineup to Avnet Technology Solutions. All of Avnet Technology Solutions’ channel partner customers, including VARs and OEMs in the United States and Canada, now have access to the Rorke Data product catalog.

As storage needs grow, Avnet is looking to provide partners with Rorke Data’s scalable cloud, SMB and backup/virtualization solutions to help them go to market and flourish faster. Avnet Technology Solutions offers channel support in the form of training, enablement, lead generation, co-marketing, technical integration, services and more. Plus, Rorke Data partners can now use Avnet’s SolutionsPath practices for specialization.
