KEMP Technologies LoadMaster DR
How can VARs enhance business continuity within customer data centers? Kemp Technologies continues to pitch load balancers. And yes, there’s a new fleet of solutions on the way. Here are the details.
KEMP, which specialize in load balancing solutions, is launching the LoadMaster DR and Virtual LoadMaster DR for disaster recovery due to catastrophic server failure, or a simple power outage. When disaster strikes, the appliance (virtual or physical) will divert web traffic from one data-center to another without any downtime or perceived outage. KEMP feels the best use case is for high-availability web-enabled environments where business must continue to flow as usual at all times.
LoadMaster DR can also can load balance traffic across two or more sites, in the event of heavy data usage, making sure than a client will always have access to their application.
You can deploy the LoadMaster DR in a distributed “Active/Active” mode allows both appliances to synchronize information, and data centers can almost instantly benefit from a LoadMaster DR since it will integrate with existing DNS, with little tweaking required.
Lastly, the LoadMaster DR offers “Round Robin” and “Least Connections” load balancing for all active datacenters, on top of a chained failover option in the event of disaster recovery.
The LoadMaster DR starts at $2,990 (with an introductory price of $1,590) or the virtual machine costs $1,990.
