Cloudnexa Hosted Apps Offers AWS-Optimized WordPress

Managed cloud provider Cloudnexa has launched a new prepackaged solution for customers to deploy a WordPress environment optimized for AWS.

Through Cloudnexa’s Hosted Apps on AWS solution, built on its vNOC cloud management platform, customers can access a its Hosted App solution for WordPress that offers a fast deployment of a WordPress environment that also includes native AWS security at the infrastructure level.

According to Cloudnexa, the offering is especially useful for small-to-medium sized businesses that lack in-house expertise to maximize a WordPress deployment on AWS. The new offering is available in economy, standard, and performance service plans to meet a variety of customer needs.

“We work with clients every day who need support to configure highly available, scalable resources with auto-recovery capabilities on AWS for their WordPress applications,” Joel Davne, founder and CEO of Cloudnexa said in a statement. “That’s why we expanded our self-service offerings with this pre-engineered hosted solution that combines our expertise for architecting WordPress on AWS, at three different service levels.”

Cloudnexa said each Hosted App includes AWS core components such as an AWS Elastic Load Balancer in front of the autoscaled web serviers and autoscaled Apache and PHP enabled containers on AWS Elastic Beanstalk using AWS Linux.

In July, Cloudnexa CTO MJ DiBerardino gave a video walkthrough of vNOC on Talkin’ Cloud.
