Cisco VARs: Double Down on Kaseya
If you’re a Cisco VAR moving into managed services, it might be wise to arrive a little early for the Cisco Partner Summit 2007 (April 3-6, Las Vegas). That’s because Vegas will also host the first Kaseya User Conference on April 2-3.
Kaseya is one of several MSP enablers that equip VARs to become manged services. VP of Marketing and Communications Dan Shapero and Exective VP of Marketing Jim Alves sounded upbeat about business during a recent conversation with The VAR Guy.
And for good reason. Kaseya earlier this year introduced a new version of its managed services software with support for Windows Vista and 64-bit Microsoft operating systems. And the company has also opened new offices in Europe, Austrialia/New Zealand, and South America.
The current momentum of Kaseya, N-able, Autotask and other “MSP-enablers” makes The VAR Guy wonder if we should expect a string of IPOs within the industry sometime in 2008 or 2009. The VAR Guy will seek some answers during Kaseya’s conference next month before heading over to Cisco’s partner summit.
