Axcient, which promotes business continuity, backup and cloud storage services via VARs and MSPs, is now working with three key distributors: Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM), Tech Data and Synnex (NYSE: SNX), The VAR Guy confirmed at HP Global Partner Conference in Las Vegas. Here’s why VARs should take note.Axcient and HP have been working together for more than a year, promoting Axcient’s hybrid cloud solutions through HP channel partners. But most of Axcient’s early channel momentum involved MSPs that understand recurring revenue models.
More recently, Axcient has been working with distributors Ingram Micro, Tech Data and Synnex to engage VARs, according to Joan Morales, director of channel marketing. Morales and VP of Business Development Ken Sims are carrying the Axcient banner at HP GPC.
The VAR Guy heard rumors about Axcient’s VAR push around the time the company raised $20 million in new venture capital funding in January 2013.
