Synnex Expands MSSP Professional Services with New Program
SYNNEX INSPIRE — Synnex is growing its Solv business unit solutions with Thursday’s announcement of a new dedicated professional service portfolio for managed security service providers (MSSPs). The new MSSP support program is part of Synnex ServiceSolv and targets MSSPs in North America.
Synnex ServiceSolv offers deployment and software services. The new MSSP program is designed to provide partners with field resources to address cybersecurity threats, skills shortages and enablement them to grow their cloud business.
“We saw the need for a vendor-agnostic, end-to-end program that would help MSSPs overcome key challenges in the security market. Partner enablement is at the core of the program and our plans for it,” Joe Pittillo, vice president of services at Synnex, told Channel Futures. “Our goal is to better enable partners around security so that they can deliver offerings; however, their customers need to consume them. While we’ve offered managed services for quite some time, we see the launch of this program as a critical next step for Synnex and our partners.”
The MSSP professional service portfolio includes services such as network operation center and security operation center support; enhanced premium support through GoldSeal, which offers tech-to-site installation and support; additional installation support; on-premises and cloud deployment; and continued education. Partners can white-label the services.
Partners who use the MSSP support program will be eligible for exclusive incentives and discounts offer through Synnex ServicesSolv.
Synnex ServiceSolv also offers additional services that support a partner’s security business. For example:
- Presales support, remote and onsite configuration, around-the-clock monitoring and management system integration, asset tagging and labeling, rack and stack, penetration and vulnerability testing and certification training.
- Security strategy and advisory services, security compliance assessments, VCISO managed services, source code review, incident response and remediation services, log analysis, forensics, social engineering and training, and certified ethical hacker certification.
- Device-as-a-subscription programs with monthly pricing, flexible subscription-based financing options. Payment plans range from 24-60 months.
“The [new] program is designed to be agnostic instead of vendor-specific. It also is uniquely different in comparison to other channel programs due to the fact that it offers full, end-to-end support services for a variety of markets,” said Pittillo.
In March, Synnex announced a series of new end-to-end channel services that support partners’ cybersecurity and cloud practices built around the Palo Alto Networks security operating platform. These new services coincided with enhancements that Palo Alto Networks made to its NextWave partner program.
Pittillo said the agreement the company made in March with Palo Alto Networks remains a separate announcement and that the two companies continue to invest in the channel to help resellers and MSSPs capture more market share.
So who qualifies as an MSSP? Sounds like any Synnex partner.
“By utilizing the portfolio of services available through Synnex, our reseller partners can offer full MSSP services under their brand,” said Pittillo.
MSSPs are in need of more support than ever before, according to Synnex. This is largely due to the increasing complexity of cybersecurity threats as well as the cybersecurity skills shortage.
