Secureworks has added a new MSSP partner track to its global partner program and unveiled a new security analytics platform.

The new MSSP partner track is for MSPs and MSSPs and focuses on what’s required to provide managed cybersecurity services. The track provides MSPs who want to become MSSPs and existing MSSPs access to the Secureworks Taegis platform.

In addition, the track offers a defined enablement path, an assigned partner success manager and dedicated partner support.

Secureworks Taegis Extended Detection and Response (XDR) is a cloud-native SaaS solution that combines the company’s security operations expertise and threat intelligence capabilities. It detects and responds to attacks across cloud, endpoint and network environments.

It also helps security teams bridge cybersecurity skills gaps and reduce security operations center (SOC) costs.

Helping Security Teams

“Security teams of all sizes and maturity levels are struggling with larger attack surfaces, disparate tools, vulnerability management tasks and risks, and insufficient staff and skills,” she said. “Threats move too fast for most organizations. Secureworks is partnering with service providers to help address and solve these challenges, and align with market direction and growth.”

The MSSP partner track includes SOC development; training and enablement; and financial incentives, including marketing development funds.

Secureworks is working with four partners, geographically dispersed, in the program’s initial phase, including Globe Business, the enterprise arm of Globe Telecom.

Secureworks partners can extend their managed service offering, Perrelli said. They also can create incremental revenue streams and get them to market faster. They’ll do so by leveraging Secureworks’ market leadership and over 20 years of security operations expertise, the company said.

COVID-19 Challenges

The COVID-19 pandemic created new vulnerabilities that threat actors sought to exploit, Perrelli said. As a result, organizations of all sizes are seeking the best ways to harden their security posture.

“MSSPs can now enhance their existing SOC capabilities or build a SOC using Secureworks Taegis XDR software and Secureworks Taegis Vulnerability Detection and Response (VDR) analytics application,” she said.

Secureworks will offer training to help MSSP partners deliver Taegis XDR, Taegis VDR and premium onboarding services.

“Secureworks has enabled us to not only bridge businesses to cybersecurity experts and cyberthreat intelligence, but also provide predictive, continuous and responsive protection,” said Peter Maquera, Globe Business’ senior vice president.
