Cofense Targets MSSPs with New Channel Program
Partners will get hands-on training on phishing simulations, along with tips for measuring results and communicating success to employees at large and corporate leadership, the company said.
Robert Iannicello, Cofense’s vice president of worldwide channel and alliances, tells us that after speaking with more than 60 global MSSPs and gathering feedback on their needs, it became apparent there was a “clear gap in their abilities to offer comprehensive phishing defense services to their customers.” The MSSP program is an expansion of the company’s existing global channel-partner programs.
“MSSPs have been looking for a manageable, cost-effective solution to offer customers that not only provides phishing simulation training capabilities, but also human-driven incident response solutions designed to stop attacks in progress,” he said. “Based on this feedback, we’ve designed the Cofense MSSP program to fill the needs of MSSPs by enabling them with the industry’s leading and most mature phishing defense solution to help their customers become more secure. Cofense also provides flexible onboarding, training and professional-services resources to ensure our MSSP partners are successful out of the gate.”
Cofense’s program is designed based on direct feedback from MSSPs and provides “predictable and disruptive” pricing and billing models, and marketing support.
“With our new program, pricing is optimized to be flexible for MSSPs,” Iannicello said. “Cofense will provide a comprehensive board reports capability that bubbles up the key metrics of phishing defense-program success in an easy-to-digest dashboard, allowing our MSSP partners to easily communicate the return on investment of this program to their customers.”
Cofense is seeking interested partners that offer a managed security services practice with automated monthly billing, a security operations center (SOC) resource, around-the-clock help desk and e-ticketing — and monthly security reports.
“Cofense’s credibility for phishing defense is unmatched, and we are pleased to be their MSSP partner,” said Clinton Smith, eSecure‘s CEO. “This cost-effective and customer-friendly model will be of great value to our customers and we look forward to expanding their reach to clients who might not otherwise be able to afford a proper phishing defense program.”
