Evolve IP Chief Sales Officer Tim Allen

Evolve IP Chief Sales Officer Tim Allen said his company employs more than 165 associates across the United States, all of whom are "true community ambassadors." Evolve IP employees have volunteered more than 3,000 hours of service and raised and donated more than $4 million to charities since the company was launched in 2007.

“Go big or go home” — employees at Evolve IP, a Wayne, Pennsylvania-based cloud services provider (CSP), take this motto to heart.

Evolve IP Chief Sales Officer Tim Allen said his company, which ranked 28 on last year’s Talkin’ Cloud 100 list of the top 100 CSPs, employs more than 165 associates nationwide, all of whom serve as “true community ambassadors.”

For example, Evolve IP employees have volunteered more than 3,000 hours of service and raised and donated more than $4 million to charities since the company was launched in 2007, Allen said. These workers also have helped Evolve IP customers get results, and Allen noted that average customer revenue increases by 45 percent approximately three years after a customer starts receiving cloud services from Evolve IP.

Today, Evolve IP has achieved an 80 percent compounded annual growth rate (CAGR), 90 percent of which comes from organic growth, Allen said. This CSP boasts a 99 percent annual customer retention rate, he added, and has transformed many customers into advocates as well.

“Evolve IP has been at the forefront of defining and implementing the cloud,” Allen told Talkin’ Cloud. “[We strive to] deliver a world-class product using industry-leading technologies and provide support that turns customers into advocates.”

More than 77,000 users nationwide currently leverage Evolve IP’s cloud services, which include:

  • Contact centers.
  • Desktop services.
  • IP phone systems.
  • Unified communications (UC).
  • Virtual data centers.

Evolve IP has always maintained multiple distribution channels, Allen said, and continues to focus on indirect distribution. He also noted that Evolve IP’s channel partner program enables participants “to deliver comprehensive cloud services that yield many business benefits like increased revenue and significantly better customer retention.”

So how does Evolve IP support its channel partners? Evolve IP offers FLOAT (financial, love, on-time, alignment, technology), a systematic training process to help them sell the company’s cloud services.

FLOAT was developed as an outline to help channel partners successfully identity and execute cloud deals by setting certain protocols and asking the proper questions at the right time, Allen said. It helps partners identify the best time to engage a prospect or customer, he said, and ultimately enables them to drive their monthly recurring revenues, too.

Allen added that Evolve IP is “continuing to innovate new cloud products and [is] focused on expanding [its] reach via direct and channel sales.”

This CSP’s goals include:

  • Launching new products and services.
  • Identifying acquisition targets for growth and innovation.
  • Hiring new associates.

Evolve IP wants to go big, and Allen noted that the combination of his company’s “drive to build a balanced, profitable business, coupled with [Evolve IP’s] technology” could lead to many new achievements soon.
