StorageCraft Launches MSP Partner Program

As most of you know, I usually close my articles with a link to the most appropriate partner program for the piece. Never have I put together a post regarding one particular program, until now. StorageCraft, a company that delivers software backup, disaster recovery, system migration and data protection solutions for servers, desktops and laptops, has launched the StorageCraft Managed Service Provider (MSP) Partner Programme to provide MSPs, Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and other resellers with the opportunity to offer their customers disk-based backup and disaster recovery as a service.

(As a side note, for those of you unfamiliar with the word “programme,” it is just the British form of “program.”)

To get to the point, members of the MSP Program will benefit from:

  • Licenses on a monthly subscription basis

  • Transfer of licenses between customers

  • Cumulative volume discounts

  • License ownership that resides with the MSP

  • Low entry cost

StorageCraft developed has four partner levels, including an entry-level partner which requires no certification.

StorageCraft’s new MSP partner program doesn’t require MSPs to pay up front for software licenses. Instead, partners can lower the the entry cost to their customers by offering licenses on a monthly subscription basis. Also, customers are allowed to purchase a managed solution without the prepayment issues that come with purchasing traditional software licenses.

This is not the first time that StorageCraft has adjusted the way it prices its offerings to better suit the MSP business model.  Last month the company announced that it would target MSPs with  new virtual data backup pricing.

Be sure to look for StorageCraft at the Kaseya Connect 2012 User Conference.
