What’s the most disruptive force in IT? The user, according to Cisco Systems (CSCO) Vice President of Cloud Collaboration Products and Online Steve Chazin.

Chazin spoke about the “user experience” imperative, and how managed service providers (MSPs) can prioritize the user experience, during his presentation at the Kaseya Connect 2015 conference in Orlando, Florida. He also showcased Cisco Spark, a free mobile collaboration app that sales representatives and service technicians can use to collaborate with customers and team members in real-time.

Mobile devices have transformed the user experience, Chazin said, and MSPs are responsible for keeping customers’ devices up and running.

“We’ve spoiled ourselves by these user experiences. The user walks into the office with better experiences in their pocket than they find at work,” Chazin said. “Everyone expects to be able to work on any device, with anyone, from anywhere.”

Controlling the user experience is key, Chazin noted, and if MSPs prioritize the user experience, they can fulfill customer needs, and ultimately, boost their profits.

However, enjoying the IT experience does not apply solely to customers – in fact, MSPs can leverage technology that makes it easier for sales representatives and service technicians to perform everyday tasks.

Cisco Spark is all about making “mobile teamwork easier,” according to Cisco. It enables users to create virtual meeting rooms in seconds where workers can collaborate – all on any device.

Many Kaseya Connect attendees were awestruck by Chazin’s Cisco Spark demo. TeamLogic IT Chief Operating Officer Frank Picarello, for example, told MSPmentor that he downloaded the app instantly and enjoyed the functionality and features it offers.
