Fully Managed, a Vancouver, Canada-based managed service provider (MSP), is taking a value-based approach to the market. While some MSPs are cutting prices to gain a competitive edge, CEO Chris Day said his company has built a culture that fosters growth and ensures customers get dependable support.

“Some MSPs are trying to pick up market share by reducing prices, not recognizing that the cost to deliver managed services really hasn’t changed,” Day told MSPmentor. “It’s a short-term problem, as these MSPs will likely fall off the map and implode due to poor service and customer attrition.”

The company, which ranked 130th on this year’s MSPmentor 501 Global Edition, partners with IT departments to take the guesswork out of their technology infrastructures.

Day is a believer in the importance of culture, and attributes his companies success to it.  Day said a key value of Fully Managed’s culture is innovation.

Canadian steel fabrication and construction service Waiward Steel is one of several Fully Managed customers to benefit from the MSP’s centralized IT delivery model. Waiward Steel CEO Donald Oborowsky said Fully Managed provides complete IT support to help his company streamline its IT and become more efficient. Fully Managed has been able to support Waiward Steel’s growth as well, providing flexible IT solutions to ensure this steel fabrication and construction service was fully supported at all times.

“Technology is a critical part of our business, the lubricant in our engine for innovation,” Oborowsky said. “Fully Managed has supported our innovation and delivered complete peace of mind through every phase of our growth.”

Fully Managed provides non-stop IT support

Day said the Fully Managed team proactively monitors, maintains and supports customers’ core technology systems around the clock.

Fully Managed, however, has proven it has staying power.

Day originally started a company called CDot Networks in 2002 to provide professional managed IT services to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). He merged his company with Alberta-based MSP HIT Business Solutions in 2010 to form Fully Managed and has capitalized on the ability to serve as a one-stop shop for managed services for Canadian businesses.

Fully Managed delivers full IT support in several industries

Fully Managed currently supports 115 customers in many industries, including:

  • Automotive

  • Accounting

  • Engineering

  • Legal

  • Manufacturing

While every customer is different, Fully Managed uses the same centralized IT delivery model.

Richards Hunter Toogood Barristers & Solicitors, an Edmonton-based law firm, has simplified its IT thanks to Fully Managed. Darren Richards, one of the firm’s partners, pointed out Fully Managed controls his company’s IT and has eliminated all of its IT concerns.

“Since partnering with Fully Managed, we no longer worry about technology and instead focus on delivering an innovative and valuable legal practice to our clients,” he said.

Fully Managed offers IT “peace of mind”

The Fully Managed team’s job is not done until a customer has “peace of mind” and receives full IT support, according to Day.

Day said Fully Managed is exploring the possibility of adding cloud infrastructure and voice services to its portfolio to better support its customers.

Fully Managed serves as a one-stop shop for IT departments, and by doing so, could help more Canadian businesses streamline their IT infrastructures for years to come.
