DKBinnovative’s Keith Barthold

DKBinnovative CEO Keith Barthold has big plans for the Dallas-based provider. The IT managed security services company is no stranger to stepping outside its areas of play, but Barthold has further goals of growing its national presence and extending its offerings beyond their current industries.

Barthold sat down with us this week to talk about DKB’s future plans and growth, strategic partnerships and going above and beyond simple fixes.

Channel Futures: Where do you see your biggest growth areas in the next year or two?

Keith Barthold: In the next few years, I would like to see DKBinnovative grow into a national presence in the IT managed service provider and managed security service provider worlds, extending our strategic partnership offerings beyond the current industries of health care, oil and gas, and professional services. DKB is a progressive company that wants to work with other like-minded businesses with future-thinking CEOs.

Of course, as online security becomes one of the most timely, significant, and volatile issues in the business world today, DKBinnovative sees an opening to be an industry leader in cybersecurity awareness, prevention and resolution.

CF: What is DKBinnovative’s “it” factor?

KB: DKBinnovative strives to be “the Chick-fil-A of IT services.”

Our philosophy is simple: don’t just fix IT problems or offer arbitrary or extraneous services here or there. Many companies are doing that. We are a strategic partner and virtual CIO for our clients — an extension of their C-suite, assisting in strategic planning, unparalleled execution and future-proofing for optimal IT performance.

I believe a big part of DKBinnovative’s success starts with assessing client capabilities and performance against the methodology we created, which includes more than 350 best practices for backup and disaster recovery, network security, wireless access, environmental, licensing, documentation, infrastructure, and phone and email systems.

We realize that our success is only as strong as our team. That’s why we’ve not only assembled a bright, forward-thinking, responsive, and experienced team — but also one that likes what they do and performs accordingly. It’s one of our primary objectives: keep our team fully informed, equipped and inspired.
