LOGICnow Improves Apple Mac Support on Remote Management Dashboard
LOGICnow announced enhancements to its remote management solution to improve the ability of managed services providers to support Apple Mac computers.

LOGICnow today announced enhancements to its remote management solution to improve the ability of managed services providers (MSPs) to support Apple Mac computers.

The MAX Remote Management’s OS X Agent, version 1.5, reflects the continuing leveraging of LOGICnow’s January purchase of Mac-MSP, a leading provider of Apple Mac software-as-a-service (SaaS) tools for MSPs.

Today’s release includes increased integration of the Mac-MSP solution for automated maintenance, patching and threat analysis of Macs.

“With the significant advancement of security and protection for Macs through this newest release, LOGICnow is furthering its goal to become the number one Mac support platform in the world,” said Brian Best, Apple strategist at LOGICnow.

“IT pros have been looking for more affordable and reliable Mac support as the Mac user base continues to rise along with the demand for better services,” he said. “By providing our customers with these innovative capabilities, we can continue to redefine the market as we add more features.”

Among the enhancements:

  • Integration with MAX Risk Intelligence, which performs vulnerability scanning and analytics to quantify the risk in dollars of a data breach,

  • Automated maintenance to reduce support tickets,

  • Passive anti-malware scanning,

  • Patching of more than 200 software titles through automated installs and updates,

  • Innovative scheduling to minimize downtime and boost productivity.

LOGICnow, a worldwide provider of IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions, delivers the only fully SaaS, cloud-based solution for IT service management, company officials said.

Following the latest release, MSPs can monitor, manage, secure and back up Macs on user networks, offering the same level of remote access support as is available for PCs and other windows-based devices.
