Kaseya RMM Platform Adds Webroot Endpoint Security
The Webroot SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection agent has been integrated into the Kaseya Virtual System Administrator remote monitoring and management platform.

Endpoint security firm Webroot and IT management software provider Greater Intell today announced a partnership to integrate the Webroot SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection solution into the Kaseya Virtual System Administrator (VSA) remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform.

The announcement comes a week after Kaseya, a leading maker of RMM solutions, announced an agreement to make Greater Intell its strategic supplier in North America.

Webroot’s cloud-based endpoint protection solution and the Kaseya VSA are now being engineered together to create a unified solution for enterprises and managed service providers (MSPs).

“We’re very pleased to be partnering with Greater Intell to offer the Kaseya community more value from their existing investment,” said Charlie Tomeo, vice president of channel and technical sales at Webroot. “Kaseya’s industry-leading (RMM) platform has fostered a loyal and rapidly-growing following within the enterprise and MSP ecosystems.”

“These customers recognize that endpoint security is challenging today and that they need next-generation defenses to protect their users and their company data from cyber-attacks,” he said. “With Webroot’s proven next-generation endpoint protection, both internal security teams and external managed services organizations will be able to offer better protection and performance, and also increase operating margins by significantly reducing the complexities and inefficiencies associated with managing a traditional security solution.”

The Webroot agent can be installed remotely on managed endpoints in less than one minute and requires no on-premise servers.

Endpoints can then be remediated remotely, and feature a journaling and rollback feature that reduces the need for reimaging of infected machines.

In addition, Greater Intell created a customized plug-in for the integration, which is available as an easy-to-install, single executable.

“Webroot was a clear choice,” said Corey Mandell, founder and CTO of Greater Intell. “We did a thorough cybersecurity review within the MSP community, and Webroot was the obvious winner.”

“Many MSPs told us that Webroot integration with Kaseya was a top priority for them,” Mandell said. “We expect strong growth and are pleased to be partnering with market leaders like Webroot.”

The Kaseya VSA platform with Webroot’s endpoint protection is currently available for purchase and demonstrations are planned during Kaseya Connect, to be held in Carlsbad, Calif., May 3-5.
