GreenAppX Partners with DataMotion for Secure Email Solution

By Matthew Graven

We’ve been hearing a lot about email encryption as a managed service. While some MSPs are delivering encryption as a solution unto itself, many are choosing to bundle encryption as a feature (or add-on option) into a larger set of communication apps. Either way, as more data moves into the cloud, encryption is clearly becoming a hot topic. Here’s yet another announcement to demonstrate encryption as a key feature for managed services.

New Jersey-based DataMotion offers services for securely transmitting data online. The company’s Website targets its lineup of solutions to different verticals (healthcare, financial, government, and so on) and niche business requirements (regulatory compliance, risk, and the like). The company’s solutions include features for encrypting data in email messages, online forms, file transfers, and so on. A key component in its arsenal of security tools is SecureMail, a managed service that provides enterprise-level, policy-based email encryption.

Next up, DataMotion’s SecureMail solution is being distributed through GreenAppX, a hosted solution provider that delivers cloud-based enterprise applications to ISPs, MSPs, and resellers. GreenAppX applications focus heavily on business communications and collaboration—including corporate email, file sharing, and conferencing software. Through this new partnership, GreenAppX partners will be able to resell SecureMail to their new and existing customers, making SecureMail an affordable security option for small- and medium-sized businesses.

According to Jim Safran, President of GreenAppX:

“Compliance and regulatory pressures are requiring businesses to implement e-mail encryption solutions that are secure and trackable. The SecureMail service has attractive margins, giving our distribution partners an opportunity to quickly recognize additional revenue.”

Referring to the new partnership, Pete Cafarchio, VP of sales and marketing at DataMotion, says “GreenAppX’s established distributor network offers DataMotion the opportunity to significantly expand our market reach, which is an important part of our growth strategy.” Likewise, this move will allow SMBs to compete more effectively by offering them an affordable way to deal with compliance and data security issues.
