CloudOps Turns to ScienceLogic to Unify Management Functions

Managed service provider CloudOps has integrated ScienceLogic‘s  cloud and IT management platform, which unites and correlates critical IT functions across various cloud environments to manage Web-based applications of customers.

It’s yet another customer win for ScienceLogic, which added Logicworks last summer. Seems like the company’s strategy of adding managed virtualization and cloud to its platform is  paying off big time.

CloudOps selected ScienceLogic’s platform because it offers performance and management across both data center and cloud environments, according to Ian Rae, CEO of CloudOps. And that’s important to CloudOps, because the MSP must migrate, optimize and runs cloud-based application. CloudOps specializes in hybrid cloud architectures that blend IT infrastructure with on-demand computing. With the integration of ScienceLogic, CloudOps hopes to unify its management functions, as well as create a foundation for delivering peak application performance for customers.

Incident, fault, ticketing and run book automation are just a few of ScienceLogic’s pre-integrated IT management software functions (performance and asset are also included). In order to help maintain consistent end-user service levels, CloudOps receives constant updates from physical and virtual cloud environments.

To improve the level of visibility, ScienceLogic provides embedded multi-tenant portal technology, which enables CloudOps to present customers with information about day-to-day operations, upgrades, monitoring and optimization (a benefit to CloudOps during the pre-sales cycle).

Service levels and availability, performance levels, ticket queues and bandwidth usage, are part of the platform’s multi-tenant capabilities.  CloudOps believes the new platform will help it be more responsive and transparent with current and future customers.
