Atera Adds Billing System to Combined RMMPSA Tool for MSPs

Software vendor Atera is continuing its rapid iteration tempo, announcing today it has added a new billing functionality to its managed services provider (MSP) toolset and integrated the solution with it’s recentlyreleased business intelligence product.

The Tel Aviv-based startup released in March an all-in-one platform that includes remote monitoring and management (RMM), professional services automation (PSA) and remote connection software.

In May, Atera announced the availability of a Business Intelligence (BI) tool, the Benchmark, which culls data from the company’s database of subscriber MSPs and provides insights about the operational performance of peers.

Last month the company issued a report of early findings from the BI tool, which suggested that many MSPs could be undercharging for services, relative to other MSPs that use the Atera product.

“When our data revealed that more than half of MSPs were undercharging for their services, we created a way to help them evaluate a better price point for their services,” said Gil Pekelman, CEO at Atera.

“Our new billing dashboard now includes real-time statistics from the Benchmark so MSPs can clearly evaluate what they are charging compared to their peers,” he said. “The new architecture enables improved performance, scalability and stability.”

Atera’s all-in-one solution is delivered as software as a service (SaaS) through Microsoft’s Azure cloud service.

The flat-fee pricing model includes three tiers: standard, professional and enterprise.

At the professional level, MSPs can pay $89 per month, with no up-front fee or long-term commitment, and use the solution for an unlimited number of customers and endpoints.

The new billing function allows MSPs to view via a dashboard data which compares pricing and performance, so they can better understand if they are charging too much or too little for services.

“In addition to the pricing comparison feature, the billing system now simplifies the whole process of pricing, tracking time, billing and invoicing customers,” according to an Atera statement. “The module will help MSPs save time, increase revenues and improve cash flow.”
