2017 MSP 501 Worldwide List and Rankings Nominations Start Feb 16

It’s that time of year for managed service providers (MSPs) to show the world what you’ve got.

MSPmentor is excited to announce that our 10th annual survey – used to rank the top 501 MSPs in the world – will begin accepting entries Feb. 16.

We’ll also recognize the top MSPs in specific geographic regions, small business MSPs and emerging MSPs, among others.

If your company provides managed IT services, now is the time to stand and be counted among the 501 most capable and innovative companies in the industry.

Applications for the 2017 MSP 501 will be accepted until midnight U.S. Eastern Standard Time on May 1, 2017.

For the second consecutive year, MSPmentor is teamed up with Clarity Channel Advisors to produce the survey and analyze the results.

Our experience working together has produced myriad improvements to streamline the process and improve the fidelity of the final rankings.

The 2017 MSP 501 leverages an innovative algorithm, which recognizes that not all revenue is the same.

We gathered input from key MSPs and fellow industry thought leaders, and devised a methodology around revenue.

Revenue from hardware resell, for example, is generally not as profitable as revenue from managed services.

Thus, we weigh revenue from different go-to-market activities before making our calculation.

The weighting behind various revenue streams is presented here:

By making our ranking algorithm known to all, MSPmentor has established a transparent and universal benchmark by which MSP organizations can be compared, year after year.

As the survey launch date draws closer, we’ll publish a link to the survey and send email notifications to our registered subscribers with full details.

In short, entries are submitted through a streamlined web portal that ensures accuracy and confidentiality.

As with last year’s survey, MSPs will be asked to submit applications complete with their 2016 financial results and revenue verification. Verification can be in the form of a statement from a certified financial professional, or a QuickBooks link.

(Please note that your financials are used as part of our ranking process, but they will never be shared or published anywhere.)

We’ll provide an optional, downloadable PDF of the survey questions, for convenient additional reference.

Results will be announced June 13.

The meticulous attention to integrity and precision means you can trust that the MSP 501 offers some of the most useful and reliable industry insights available anywhere.

And don’t forget to talk to us about available deeper-dive business intelligence reports that can provide MSPs, vendors and others with a host of additional granular data and analysis.

Users can gain a rich understanding of the broader industry, specific vertical or geographic markets, or look for patterns about where partners and competitors are placing near-term bets.

We hope you’re as excited as we are to kick off the 10th annual installment of the industry’s most-trusted analysis.
