Fiberlink MaaS360 Secure Productivity Suite Provides Dual Persona
Cloud-based enterprise mobility management (EMM) provider Fiberlink has added MaaS360 Secure Productivity Suite to its MaaS360 platform, providing a dual persona approach for companies with BYOD policies. That means that the solution separates personal information and corporate information on the device, enabling managed services providers (MSPs) to secure mobile devices while preserving end-user experience. Here are the details.
MaaS360 Secure Productivity Suite acts as a mobile security and productivity solution that provides policy management and data protection for businesses. MaaS360 dual persona approach works via a "Trusted WorkPlace" environment. IT administrators are able to review various security options, including users, devices, content, and apps through a unified platform. MSPs can leverage existing business infrastructure investments, without having to install and manage new on-site appliances that intercept all company email. MaaS360 also provides comprehensive data leak prevention (DLP) features to control the movement of both email attachments and text as well as offline security.
Secure Productivity Suite, which is delivered through the MaaS360 platform, is available across both iOS and Android devices and includes the following products:
- MaaS360 Secure Mail — a office productivity app with email, calendar, and contacts;
- MaaS360 Application Security — mobile application container with security management;
- MaaS360 Secure Document Sharing — extension of the MaaS360 Doc Catalog into a fully integrated and protected suite of office productivity tools with expanded user support to edit content; and
- MaaS360 Secure Browser — web browser to enforce compliance and control access to content.
"Boosting productivity and mitigating risks are top priorities for our customers. The daily dose for IT today is providing secure access to corporate email, apps, and documents on mobile devices they do not own," said Fiberlink President and COO Christopher Clark in a prepared statement. "As mobile strategies evolve to focus on protecting sensitive data and solving privacy issues on personal devices, containerization is a natural complement to our MaaS360 mobile device management capabilities."
