Its common knowledge that BYOD policies have exploded in the past several years, and Gartner reports that by 2017 about half of employees will be expected to bring their own mobile devices to the office for work purposes. This means companies such as AppRiver will have to up their respective games to push back against the prevalence of mobile threats including malware and data leakage in the enterprise computing world.

With its new secure email app, AppRiver promises to give enterprise users complete end-to-end protection for their mobile communication while providing the tools necessary to create, read, track and reply to encrypted emails on smartphones and tablets. With CipherPost Pro, AppRiver is not requiring any additional enterprise installation while still giving users the same level of global administrative control and enforcement required by various compliance policies, according to the press release. Private data is not stored on the individual device, meaning enterprise information remains secure even if a particular device is lost or stolen.
AppRiver is touting several new features for its latest email encryption app, including the ability to access, compose and send encrypted messages on the go, with the ability to receive delivery confirmation and other monitoring tools for sent emails. Users will also have the ability to delete emails even after they have been read. With native device app integration, CipherPost Pro does not interfere with the user’s personal phone settings and helps to optimize battery life and bandwidth during use.
With CipherPost Pro, AppRiver is taking aim at businesses that want to utilize the protective services of MDM without the need to manually install software on at the enterprise level. The app is available now for free on all available mobile operating systems, and can be downloaded using BlackBerry World, the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Windows Phone Store. Desktop computer users can also get a 30-day free trial of the software from AppRiver's website.
