AirWatch Partners with Keynectics-OpenTrust for Mobile Device PKI
Mobile device management (MDM) provider AirWatch recently announced integration with online digital trust services provider Keynectis-OpenTrust for mobile device and credential management. According to a joint press release, several customers are already leveraging this integration to automatically deploy digital identities over mobile devices. Here's the scoop.
AirWatch Business Development Director Kevin Keith said in a prepared statement that the solution provides identity protection and management, a component that can be critical to any mobile strategy.
The integration between Keynetics OpenTrust CMS Mobile and AirWatch MDM aims to resolve identity management tasks. OpenTrust CMS Mobile forms a security layer and allows further segregation of administrative duties by acting as a bridge between MDM and public-key infrastructure (PKI). The solution condenses various PKI servers it connects to, but does not limit itself to those provided by Keynectis-OpenTrust. This enables system integrators to take advantage of this coupling to enhance AirWatch MDM with PKI services from other vendors.
“Due to the growing reliance on mobile devices, businesses are seeking the most efficient and effective way to give companies the confidence that their corporate data and digital identities are secure,” said Keynectis-OpenTrust Marketing Vice President Thibault de Valroger in a prepared statement. “With this solution we can bring an enterprise-grade solution to our customers and thus deliver, on any mobile device, the best overall value in the marketplace.”
With OpenTrust CMS for Mobile, users can read, send, and sign secure encrypted emails using their smartphones. A certificate infrastructure provides sender identification and message protect, while remaining transparent to the user.
