4PSA Adds Security Features to VoipNow Mobile
The Orlando, Florida-based unified communications (UC) platform provider has unveiled VoipNow Mobile 2.0, which includes security feedback features.
“VoipNow Mobile provides visual real-time information about the security of each call and companies can restrict the completion of calls that are not properly encrypted and cryptographically authenticated,” 4PSA Chief Operating Officer Elena Carstoiu said in a prepared statement.
In addition, 4PSA noted that VoipNow Mobile 2.0 offers support for video calls and high-definition audio. VoipNow Mobile 2.0 video calls are encrypted, 4PSA said, and users can enjoy “exceptional good audio quality on poor wireless networks.”
4PSA launched VoipNow Mobile in February “to enable business bring-your-own-device (BYOD) that replaces traditional desktop office phones.” VoipNow Mobile ensures businesses can access office phones on their iPhones and iPads, according to 4PSA.
Bogdan Carstoiu, 4PSA’s CEO, also pointed out that VoipNow Mobile enables service providers to offer customers secure, efficient business communications.
“The app is intended to fully replace desktop IP phones that increase service costs for service providers and IT departments and provide poor user experience to end users,” he said in a prepared statement.
Service providers can offer VoipNow Mobile via 4PSA’s service provider program, and end users can download the mobile client via the Apple Store.
