Vivaz La Smartphone: Sony Ericsson Device Pending from AT&T

Were starting to learn more about Sony Ericssons new Vivaz smartphone, which is expected to be offered soon on the AT&T wireless network.

A fervor for the Symbian-based, 3G phone began to build this week when a reference to AT&T was made in connection with the Vivaz on the Sony Ericsson website, but the company has since pulled it. Either the release is not quite as imminent as first thought, or it was pulled so the companies can make a joint announcement.

The Vivaz is a little smaller than most smartphones on the market. Weighing in at less than three-and-a-half ounces, it might be appealing to those looking for something compact.

The Vivaz comes with a 720MHz processor, 3.2-inch touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording capability, plus an FM radio. Its expected to run AT&Ts Maps and Navigator.
