Verizon Wireless’ prepaid customers will soon get access to the same data speeds that those on its traditional plans have had access to. The carrier’s nationwide network will be accessible to prepaid customers on July 17, Droid Life reports, citing sources.

Big Red will reportedly start to offer more handsets when LTE availability arrives.

Verizon’s Allset plans, which launched in March to keep up with the company’s wireless rivals, offer options starting at $35 per month for basic phones and $45 for smartphones with unlimited messaging and 500MB of data.

The plans start at a flat fee with expansion options coming from Bridge Data add-ons. An additional $5 gets you 500 MB more that expires after 30 days, $10 will get 1 GB more expiring after 60 days, and so on. The plans offer other perks such as mobile hotspot access and extra international minutes for new customers as well.
