Samsung Omnia Comes to Verizon Wireless
And the touchscreen smartphone hits keep on comin’. On Tuesday Samsung and Verizon Wireless took the wraps off the Omnia, a Windows Mobile 6.1-based 3G handset.
Full HTML browsing, Wi-Fi, GPS and Microsoft ActiveSync for e-mail are but a few of the features in the $250 (with rebate and two-year contract) device. Corporate accounts can nab the Omnia beginning Nov. 26, while Verizon Wireless retail stores will start stocking it on Dec. 8.
Verizon appears well-prepared for the Christmas shopping season: the operator just launched the much-anticipated BlackBerry Storm.
