BlackBerry Storm 2 Ready for UK, U.S. Launch Uncertain

Several reports indicate that the much-awaited BlackBerry Storm 2 will be available for sale in the U.K. sometime in the next few days. A story in The Guardian says it’s due to launch this week, while other reports name Oct. 21 as “Storm Day.” Vodafone will be the carrier for the new smartphone across the pond.

Reports on when the Storm will arrive stateside are still up in the air. Last month, Oct. 14 was the first-rumored date, which appeared to be a bit premature. It might not even make an Oct. 25 estimate, despite the fact that accessories for the phone are arriving at Best Buy stores. One source says training for the Verizon model won’t even begin until Nov. 7, meaning the phones won’t be shipped until at least a week later, and maybe closer to Thanksgiving.
