BlackBerry Bold 2 Price Slashed at Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart is driving down the price of smartphones this holiday season, almost all by itself.

The competition for your buck is sure to heat up even more now that the discount giant has announced it’s selling the new BlackBerry Bold 2, or 9700, for just $99. Well, sort of. You have to shell out the full $199, but you get a free $100 gift card from Wal-Mart. So you can get some accessories, or maybe pick up a few bags of groceries at the SuperCenter. It also hinges on signing up for a new, two-year service deal with T-Mobile.

The price drops even more if you order online and have the coupon code “25rafpcver1.” That’ll get you another $25 knocked off.

Wal-Mart just announced last week that – along with its partner LetsTalk.com – it’s selling the new Palm Pixi for just $30, as long as you sign up for a two-year deal with Sprint, including a $70 data plan.
