Birch Communications this week announced it has completed its acquisition of OrbitCom.

Birch Communications has finalized its acquisition of a voice and data solutions provider for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The Atlanta-based technology services provider this week announced it has completed its acquisition of OrbitCom. Birch previously signed an agreement to add OrbitCom to its portfolio last month. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Birch said it will add more than 5,000 OrbitCom customers as part of the transaction.

Vincent M. Oddo, Birch’s CEO, also noted that OrbitCom customers can now access his company’s entire product portfolio.

“I am most enthusiastic to welcome the former OrbitCom customers to Birch and to provide them with many new optional service offerings, which are designed to meet their current and emerging business needs,” he said in a prepared statement. “Ensuring that our customers have a large selection of integrated solutions to choose from allows them the freedom to implement technologies that make the most sense for their business.”

In addition, Birch pointed out that the OrbitCom acquisition helps the company extend its North American reach and could be one of many acquisitions this year.

OrbitCom represents Birch’s 25th acquisition to date, Birch said, and a company spokesperson told Talkin’ Cloud that Birch is likely to make additional acquisitions soon.

“We seek companies that offer us similar customer base with similar products in markets where we are at or would like to be,” the spokesperson said.
