AT&T Loosens Contract Requirements
AT&T Inc. on Tuesday announced changes to its wireless contracts that will save customers money if they opt out early or change plans.
Beginning early next year, customers who exit a contract early will have to pay a prorated fee instead of the current flat rate of $175, the company said.
And starting in November, customers who change to any of the companys standard wireless calling plans during the course of their contract will no longer be required to extend their contract or enter into a new one, AT&T said.
