AT&T is set to acquire spectrum and subscribers belonging to Corr Wireless, a 2G operator owned by C Spire Wireless.
The Alabama-based company has 21,000 subscribers, according to TeleGeography. Terms of the deal have yet to be published.
According to a regulatory filing submitted to the FCC, the transaction includes one cellular license, five PCS concessions, customers, network equipment and other assets.
AT&T and other operators are busy gobbling up spectrum via mergers and acquisitions to they can further build out their modern networks and offer more high-speed services.
