Apple iPhone 5S: Countdown Begins as Prediction Pinpoints Release Date

It follows logic, but at this point it’s still just a guess.
Barring leaks, Apple stays tight-lipped about iPhone release dates. But a new prediction pinpoints the date you might be able to pick up an updated version of the company’s iconic smartphone and it uses history to do so. The International Business Times says Sept. 20 is when you’ll likely see the new iPhone go on sale. Pay close attention as to why:
The website believes Apple will follow last year’s pattern of rolling out iOS 7 the update to the company’s mobile operating system exactly 100 days after it was introduced at its Worldwide Developers Conference. That would mean Sept. 18, followed by a new iPhone two days later. Look for an official announcement about the device to come a little more than a week before (Sept. 10). The much-rumored-but-not-confirmed cheaper iPhone aimed at emerging markets would drop either a week or two later, IBT predicts, followed by October announcements about iPad refreshes. No word how the site came to that conclusion.
A Chinese website this week said that Foxconn, which manufactures many Apple products, has already started to ship the budget iPhone whatever it will officially be called.
And if that’s not enough, The Korea Times says execs from SK Telecom told them Apple is already considering LTE-Advanced technology for an upcoming iPhone. Download speeds would have the potential of being twice as fast as what the iPhone 5 supports. Of course, it could be a couple of years before you see that in the U.S. operators in the States are just starting to prep their second-generation LTE networks.
