Zenprise Expands Security, Management to Android Devices

With IDC's recently released quarterly report on media tablet shipments, which estimates the Android platform will eventually emerge as the tablet market's platform leader, available for analysis, companies are already developing ways to empower Android mobile workers, while keeping their employers safe from security risks. Zenprise, a company that specializes in secure Mobile Device Management (MDM), recently announced an expanded set of security and management capabilities for Android devices, including Amazon's Kindle Fire.

Zenprise has added the following updates to its security features:

  • Mobile App Lock
  • Encryption of network traffic
  • Encryption enforcement for data at rest
  • Seamless enrollment experience
According to Zenprise's own Quarterly Cloud Report for Q1 2012, companies are embracing the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend. To keep up with the with the growing trend, businesses are beginning to implement applications and strategies.
