MobileIron for BYOD Mobile Security Wins Healthcare Deal

Security is not something to take lightly when you are involved in the healthcare industry, which is why WakeMed Health & Hospitals, a network of over 8,000 employees, 1,000 volunteers and more than 1,000 affiliated physicians, selected MobileIron to provide mobile device security for its organization.

MobileIron, which recently raised $40 million in Series E venture capital funding, has been selected to enable the WakeMed Health & Hospitals' Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program.

By working with MobileIron, WakeMed Health & Hospitals hopes to roll out support for iPhone and iPad, as well as for Android devices. Enforcing security has been its number one priority. MobileIron's BYOD solution provides the organization with the ability to delete all corporate information from mobile devices without touching the user's personal content -- thereby preventing confidential information from being released into the wrong hands.

MobileIron is available as an on-premise or a cloud solution. MobileIron offers solutions in MDM software, Mobile Device Security, BYOD, and many more. The company also offers a partner program for those interested.
