Mimecast Now Supports Windows Phone and Android

Mimecast, a supplier of cloud-based email archiving, continuity and security for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, announced that it is now extending support to Windows Phone and Android via new mobile apps for those operating systems. The recent applications mean Mimecast now offers archive search apps for all major smartphone platforms: Windows Phone, iPhone, BlackBerry and Android.

Mimecast recently surveyed IT pros about the risks vs. the benefits of the bring your own device (BYOD) trend in business, finding that opinions varied widely. The company's solutions are intended to address some of the concerns IT pros have regarding BYOD. Mimecast delivers cloud-based email management for Microsoft Exchange, including archiving, continuity and security. Serving more than 5,000 customers worldwide, Mimecast has offices all over the globe.

Mimecast offers uninterrupted access to send and received email messages on major platforms. That means that even if the Exchange server goes down, users still have access to email.  With its recent updates, the company seeks to help users make better decisions and improve productivity. Due to Mimecast's commitment to mobile devices, users can switch between devices with not additional cost or complexity.
