ThreatLocker Acquires Third Wall, Giving MSPs Improved Microsoft Cybersecurity

Third Wall has built a good rapport with approximately 1,500 MSPs nationally.

ThreatLocker has acquired Third Wall, allowing MSPs to better secure Windows operating systems.

Third Wall is an automated lockdown security plug-in for ConnectWise Automate users. With the addition of Third Wall’s lockdown policies to existing ThreatLocker solutions, MSPs can harden Windows operating systems. That will ensure end-users comply with government regulations. Furthermore, it will strengthen their overall security.

This is ThreatLocker’s first acquisition. ThreatLocker didn’t say how much it’s paying for Third Wall.

“Third Wall has been a part of the IT Industry for seven years and has built a good rapport with approximately 1,500 MSPs nationally,” he said. “Third Wall has thus far been a powerful tool for ConnectWise Automate.”

ThreatLocker plans to use this plug-in for other RMMs. Those include Kaseya, Ninja, Atera and other platforms.

ThreatLocker MSPs Better Able to Battle Malware with Third Wall

ThreatLocker partners will get access to 58 automated policies from the Third Wall plug-in in an easy-to-manage, centralized platform, Jenkins said. This will better equip their businesses’ offerings and enhance their cybersecurity posture while increasing their tenacity to battle malware.

“Rapid advances in ransomware and other cyberattacks have significantly compromised the security of user endpoints,” he said. “As security practitioners, the onus is on us to keep up with these threats and prevent damage to our clients by utilizing the proper controls. This new partnership with Third Wall will allow ThreatLocker to deploy emergency actions and ensure users are Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliant.”

MSPs already using ThreatLocker will get tangible controls that will aid in explicitly denying malware, broadening the scope of ransomware prevention. These controls will reduce the MSP’s guesswork and margin of error for the end-user.

Incorporating Third Wall

Third Wall’s lockdown policies will be incorporated into ThreatLocker’s current customer offerings. In addition, the Third Wall team will be integrated into ThreatLocker’s organization. It will continue to build and expand on the endpoint security use cases they have already taken to market.
