Sirius Computer Solutions signed a new partnership with Kelso & Company that will allow the private equity firm to acquire interest in the San Antonio-based IT solutions integrator.

Through the agreement, Kelso will acquire an equity interest in Sirius from Thoma Bravo, the company’s previous equity partner, and Harvey Najim, Sirius’ founder. Thoma Bravo will exit its investment in Sirius with the close of the deal.

“Sirius has become one of the premier technology solutions integrators in the U.S. by building strong partnerships, developing highly skilled people, and providing true business-class solutions to their clients,” said Hank Mannix of Kelso, in a statement. “Our partnership will allow them to strengthen that leadership by continuing to support their operational and strategic initiatives.”

The transaction is expected to close sometime in Q4 2015. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Najim also will step down from his role as chairman at Sirius to support local charitable organizations, according to the announcement. Sirius said no other management changes will take place as a result of the deal.

“Business technology is changing at an increasingly rapid pace, and in order to continue providing the solutions which our clients need to be successful, we must continue to invest in the best technical skills, sales expertise, processes and tools,” said Joe Mertens, president and CEO of Sirius. “This new equity partnership with Kelso will help Sirius bolster its strategic growth plans and allow us to continue serving our clients’ business needs at the high level they have grown to expect from Sirius.”

Earlier this year, Thoma Bravo and Teacher’s Private Capital completed their acquisition of Riverbed Technology for a whopping $3.6 billion. In May, Sirius acquired Varrow, a North Carolina-based consulting, design and managed services specialist for an undisclosed sum.
