(NYSE: RNG), a leading provider of cloud communication solutions, today announced it has acquired Glip, Inc., a cloud messaging and collaboration company.  Glip serves diverse teams and helps them be more productive with messaging integrated with task management, calendar, notes, and file sharing. It also includes integrations with a number of leading business solutions such as Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Google, Asana, Jira and many others.

Glip will be re-branded as RingCentral Teams in the coming months. Its capabilities will be integrated and available at no additional cost to all RingCentral Office customers. RingCentral plans to keep the current standalone application, renamed as RingCentral Teams, available for web, Windows, Mac, iOS and Android available to all current and future customers.

As a result of the acquisition, Peter Pezaris, CEO & Co-founder and the entire R&D team will join RingCentral. Financial terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed.
