New MSP Mergers Expand IT Landscape for SMB, Commercial Sectors

One of the mergers creates the largest MSP network to serve the small and medium-sized business market.

Iconic IT and Integris have merged, combing the company under the Integris name. The merger makes it one of the largest MSPs dedicated to the SMB sector.

Integris has partnered with Frontenac, a Chicago-based private equity firm, to build a national MSP platform. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.

Growth Strategy

Mike Fowler is the former CEO of Iconic IT. He will now serve as COO at Integris.

“Iconic IT was an early leader of the consolidation trend in 2019, when Capstone IT, Live Consulting, Choose Networks and Networking Results merged to form Iconic IT,” Fowler said.

He added that the merger was “the logical next step and allows the network we’ve built to be part of an expanded footprint as a national, premium managed services provider.”

The Integris network will now have offices in 10 states. More than 440 employees will offer high-end enterprise IT services. In addition, around-the-clock security monitoring will scale for the SMB market. The merger is an important part of the Integris network’s growth strategy, the company said. It mirrors the rapid consolidation we’re seeing among MSPs.

Chris Hoose was previously CFO of Iconic IT and now vice president of growth for Integris.

“We always knew that growth was necessary if we wanted to stay relevant and continue to provide the IT and security services that small businesses need,” Hoose said. “All the entities that have come together to form Integris – including Iconic – share that philosophy. Joining the Integris platform provides us with additional resources to both support our clients and offer an expanded career path for our employees.”

The combined firm will be led by Rashaad Bajwa as CEO.

“Iconic IT paved the road for the path that Integris is on now,” Bajwa said. “They were one of the first to bring together best-in-class MSPs from across the country to build a stronger platform for clients and staff. Bringing Iconic IT and Integris together is a continuation of their “better together” thesis and accelerates our shared journey forward in building the first national premium MSP platform.

Cross-Country Merger

Meantime, managed IT firms CompuVision Systems and VC3 have combined.

VC3 is an MSP serving cities and commercial businesses across 22 states. CompuVision is a Canadian information technology management and consulting firm providing services to small, medium and large businesses. The combination of VC3 and CompuVision will create a unified IT management and cybersecurity company that will expand operations across the U.S.-Canada border.

The companies will continue to operate under their respective names during an integration period before combining their operations under the VC3 brand.

Sandy Reeser is VC3’s CEO.

Complex Tools

Ryan Vestby is CompuVision’s CEO. He said the new company’s priority is to support clients by navigating an increasingly complex IT landscape.

“As our clients grow, we must be able to keep pace with their needs, which requires complex tools and resources along with a team of experienced professionals,” Vestby said. “Each of our teams brings complementary specializations and expertise so that we can continue to lead the way. Everyone wins when the strengths of two companies come together.”

VC3’s Reeser will continue as CEO. CompuVision CEO Ryan Vestby and president David Bridges will hold the positions of chief growth officer and president, respectively.
