MSP Logically has acquired Cerdant, an Ohio-based MSSP with more than 450 customers nationally.

Cerdant’s customers span retail and hospitality, education, government, health care and financial services. The acquisition, Logically says, further enhances its newly announced security business unit. Furthermore, it expands the MSP’s reach into Ohio.

Logically has more than 1,750 customers from Maine to California.

Logically received the 2019 MSP 501 Digital Innovator of the Year award for its OpLogic self-healing, intelligent MSP platform for SMBs.

“Bringing Cerdant into the fold takes our security expertise to the next level,” he said. “This is a company that has been innovative in the security space for more than two decades. Additionally, Logically bolsters its geographic footprint with Cerdant’s location in Dublin, Ohio, further expanding our presence in the Midwest.”

Ongoing Acquisition Strategy

This is Logically’s fourth acquisition in the last four months. Cerdant joins the previously announced Network Support Co (NSC) and NG2 in 2021, along with Personal Computer Resources (PCR) last December. The acquisitions have been part of a larger strategy to enhance the company’s footprint throughout the United States.

Logically’s customers will benefit from the institutional knowledge and experience that come along with the Cerdant name,” Cowles said. “We have an opportunity to tap into their 450-plus customer base. As an MSSP, Cerdant brings a skill set and service offering to further enhance how we serve our customers in the security landscape.”

Cerdant is based in Ohio, but serves customers in all 50 states, he said.

“Logically will continue to support those customers as we integrate Cerdant into our operational structure,” Cowles noted.

Logically is always eyeballing growing companies with core values and service offerings that align with its own, he said.

“Since 2019, Logically has acquired eight companies across the United States via an aggressive M&A strategy,” Cowles said. “These acquisitions have given us additional talent [and] resources, while allowing us to expand our service offerings and capabilities.”

Mike Johnson is Cerdant’s founder.

“One of the challenges to finding the right partner for growth is finding one that cares as much about customer satisfaction as we do,” he said. “Many companies state that as their mission, but most struggle to meet that goal. Logically has consistently outperformed others in this space. And we couldn’t be happier to be a part of that team and to grow together.”
