Liquit, a Netherlands-based provider of application aggregation, deployment and management software, plans to build out its partner channel in the Americas through its acquisition of U.S.-based Appnostix.

Liquit’s main product, Liquit Workspace, is a digital workspace solution available in all web browsers. It provides employees with a work environment where they can access all applications and information anytime, anyplace, and on every device.

Financial details of the acquisition weren’t disclosed. It follows four years of exponential sales growth in EMEA for Liquit.

Linda LaPorta, Liquit’s president of Americas, tells us to be successful, her company needs to have partners who understand the issues that face large enterprises when considering the transformation to a digital workspace. She previously was Appnostix’ founder and CEO.

“Appnostix actually evolved from the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) world starting in 2008,” she said. “We know who the experts are, and the partners that can deliver the alliances that will make sense.”

Appnostix has extensive relationships with MSPs, DaaS providers and large enterprise customers, LaPorta said. Its present channel is from the VDI and portal space, and “many of these partners will also be excellent Liquit partners,” she said.

“We want partners that are focused on the end-user experience, partners focused on large enterprise customers struggling with legacy applications and wanting to move to the cloud,” she said. “We want alliance partners, specifically intranet software companies who wish to publish all of their applications in their portal with an SSO and consistent end-user experience. We want Microsoft channel partners who are working to move customers to Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD). We are about to be officially announced as a certified value-add partner for WVD and look forward to growing our network.”

This quarter is focused on Liquit’s relationship with Microsoft WVD and the move to its Lighthouse program, LaPorta said. Liquit also is focused on building widgets for various intranet companies so their channels can benefit by allowing their customers to publish all of their applications from one portal and with one sign-on, she said.

“We are also focused on training our existing channel on all that Liquit brings to the table,” she said. “[The second quarter] will be focused on adding elite partners with deep experience in Citrix, VMWare and application virtualization.”

Liquit connects to multiple virtualization tools, virtualization platforms and management consoles. Applications can be aggregated from many locations and delivered and managed from a single administrative console.

“The acquisition of Appnostix gives Liquit an instant team and presence in the Americas that fully understands and shares our market and long-term vision,” said Peter Hermeling, Liquit’s co-founder. “With Appnostix, we can enhance our long-term offerings and quickly build out our partner channel and ecosystem in the Americas in order to gain rapid market share in this multibillion-dollar market segment.”
