Wipro, 11:11 Systems and Brillo are among companies disclosing last-minute channel acquisition activity before the holidays.

Wipro is acquiring Edgile, a cybersecurity consulting provider. It focuses on risk and compliance, information and cloud security, and digital identity.

According to the Business Standard, Wipro is paying $230 million for Edgile. The deal should close before the end of March.

Together, Wipro and Edgile will develop Wipro CyberTransform. The integrated suite will help enterprises enhance boardroom governance of cybersecurity risk and invest in cyber strategies. In collaboration with Wipro and Edgile alliance partners, CyberTransform will enable organizations to accelerate their digital transformation and operate in virtual, digital supply chains in a secure manner.

Tony Buffomante is Wipro’s senior vice president, and global head of cybersecurity and risk services.

“Adding Edgile’s strategic consulting capabilities and launching Wipro CyberTransform are significant milestones on our journey to becoming the trusted partner to security leaders and boardroom stakeholders,” he said. “I see the team blending very well with Wipro’s CyberSecurists to deliver transformational cybersecurity on a global scale.”

Earlier this year, Wipro strengthened its cybersecurity business by acquiring Ampion, a provider of cybersecurity services in Australia. It also acquired the cybersecurity practice at Capco. That’s a consultancy in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector in Europe and the United States.

Additionally, through its Wipro Ventures arm, the company continues to invest in cybersecurity startups.

11:11 Systems Acquiiring iland

In other channel acquisition activity, 11:11 Systems, a managed infrastructure solutions provider, is acquiring iland, a global cloud service provider. iland’s cloud services include hosting for infrastructure (IaaS), disaster recovery (DRaaS) and backup as a service (BaaS). iland complements 11:11’s recent closing of its Green Cloud Defense acquisition.

The combination of the three organizations will enable 11:11 to deliver the full spectrum of connectivity, cloud and security solution sets across channel, SMB, and enterprise. Furthermore, it will expand 11:11’s reach by adding a new global data footprint.

11:11 didn’t disclose financial details of the acquisition. It should close later this month, subject to the completion of certain closing conditions.

“The acquisition of iland is a major step in unifying all aspects of connectivity, cloud and security to fast-track our company growth across all three solution pillars,” he said. “iland is core to our strategy to become the leading managed infrastructure solutions provider, driving growth by providing a single source for customers.”

Brian Ussher is iland‘s president and co-founder.

“Joining 11:11 Systems will create a pathway to rapidly provide our customers with meaningful new connectivity and security offerings,” he said. “Aligning iland and 11:11 Systems’ visions will address our customers’ need to simplify the management of their infrastructure into the hands of a few trusted vendors, so they can focus on more pressing initiatives like their mission-critical applications, edge computing and artificial intelligence (AI).”

Brillio Acquires Cedrus Digital

And in what could be the final channel acquisition activity of 2021, Brillio has acquired Cedrus Digital, a digital transformation and cloud consulting firm. This acquisition strengthens Brillio’s product and platform engineering, data analytics engineering, cloud security and digital infrastructure capabilities. Moreover, it increases Brillo’s proximity to its strategic relationships in North America.

Brillio will enhance its end-to-end digital transformation solutions across regulated industry groups. Those include health care, financial services and automotive.

In addition, Cedrus Digital brings partnerships with RedHat (Apex level), Netskope, Okta and Confluent. The announcement comes on the heels of Brillio’s acquisition of Standav, a consulting and technology services firm.
