Datapipe Acquires Big Data Multi-Cloud Solutions Provider GoGrid
Hybrid IT solutions company Datapipe has added GoGrid, a San Francisco-based infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider, to its portfolio. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Datapipe Chief Marketing Officer Craig Sowell said he believes that the acquisition of GoGrid enables his company to offer customers “the most advanced solutions for implementing and managing big data environments on the cloud.”
“With the acquisition of GoGrid, we can partner with our clients and manage the complete lifecycle of big data solutions,” he told Talkin’ Cloud.
Datapipe CEO Robb Allen added that GoGrid advances his company’s strategy to help enterprises develop, deploy and manage multi-cloud hybrid IT solutions.
GoGrid has more than a decade of experience in managed cloud and dedicated hosting.
The IaaS provider’s orchestration and automation technologies provide one-button deployment for big data solutions, accelerating the development and results of new cloud projects, Datapipe noted.
Sowell said the GoGrid acquisition allows Datapipe to extend its multi-cloud managed services and “continue delivering the value of architecting, deploying and managing hybrid IT solutions.”

Datapipe currently offers multi-platform hybrid IT solutions for the enterprise, including traditional IT, public, private and hybrid clouds.
