This week’s BCM One acquisition of CoreDial should reposition the former as one of the largest channel-focused UCaaS providers in the United States.

That’s according to Raul Castanon, senior research analyst with 451 Research, part of S&P Global Market Intelligence. BCM One has acquired CoreDial for an undisclosed amount.

The deal combines CoreDial’s strategy, team and technology with BCM One’s SkySwitch platform. It takes the two largest white-label UCaaS providers and forms the “No. 1 private-label solution,” BCM One said.

Together they will offer “best-in-class” technology to provide MSPs, VARs, SIs and channel partners a UCaaS platform to deliver to the SMB market.

CoreDial’s eZuce Acquisition a Plus

“While there is an overlap in their respective offerings, [CoreDial] comes with advanced video collaboration capabilities, from its acquisition of eZuce, that are largely complementary to its portfolio and could be instrumental for developing a comprehensive offering that can address the emerging requirements of the hybrid workplace,” Castanon said.

The acquisition should be welcome news for both companies’ channel partners, he said. It should allow BCM One to provide a comprehensive portfolio with advanced connectivity and communications capabilities.

This marks BCM One’s seventh acquisition. It’s last one was Wholesale Carrier Services (WCS), which owned and operated an IP-enabled voice and data network that touches more than 500 cities.

Geoff Bloss is BCM One’s CEO. He said SMBs need reliable and cost-effective communication and collaboration solutions with the rise of remote and hybrid models.

“Expanding the SkySwitch portfolio with CoreDial’s team, technology and expertise strengthens our ability to deliver market-leading offerings to meet those needs,” he said.

Gartner predicts that by 2023 the number of remote workers will have doubled to over two-thirds of digital workers. And by 2024, three in four (75%) business users won’t use a traditional desk phone, up from 30% in 2020.

BCM One Acquisition to Benefit CoreDial Partners

In August, CoreDial launched a new program for partners who want to sell CoreNexa without being responsible for back-office processes. CoreDial Max complements CoreDial’s private-label partner program. That program includes more than 850 MSP and channel partners across North America and around the globe.

“As the innovator of this unique and disruptive channel platform strategy, we couldn’t be more excited to have our team join the BCM One family,” he said. “Since 2005, our vision has been to be the best at enabling channel success with cloud communications. By joining forces with BCM One, our nearly 1,000 partners will benefit from expanded resources and support from a channel-savvy company.”
