Rising Unemployment Spells Opportunity for MSPs
The US unemployment rate jumped to 6.1 percent in August, its highest level in five years, according to the New York Times. Meanwhile, anecdotal evidence suggests that successful managed service providers continue to grow.
Those two conflicting trends represent an opportunity for talent-starved MSPs.
In sales, the old saying is Always Be Closing. But in HR, here’s a better term: Always Be Interviewing. Even if you don’t have positions open at the moment, you should be interviewing future job candidates at least on a monthly basis. As positions open in your company, you should already have vetted key people who would be perfect for the opportunities.
Find potential stars before you need them. And never stop filling your Rolodex with great candidates.
