Roughly six months after joining GFI Software, Patricia Hume has jumped to Convio Inc. as VP of worldwide sales. Hume is a well-known channel chief who previously held top sales and channel posts at IBM, SAP and Avaya.

In a prepared statement, Convio said Hume will join the company on August 8. The announcement mentions Hume’s experience at IBM, SAP and Avaya — but does not mention Hume’s short tour of duty at GFI Software, which she joined in February 2011 to oversee global sales and global channels.

GFI Software is among the fastest-growing provider of cloud and on-premise security, storage and management solutions for VARs and MSPs. We’ve reached out to GFI Software to see if the company plans to replace Hume.
