NTT Group (NTT) made several major leadership changes this month when the telecom company announced the hire of both a new CEO for its information communications technology division as well as the appointment of a new vice president of Sales for NTT Americas.

Jeffrey Bannister has been appointed executive vice president of Sales for NTT America’s Global Enterprise Services, responsible for business development and sales management of the company’s multinational efforts. Bannister will report directly to Kazuhiro Gomi, NTT America’s President and CEO in his new role, according to the announcement.

Prior to his appointment, Bannister served as vice president of Cloud and Infrastructure Services at Infosys, where he helped develop the company’s cloud and infrastructure sales and operations team. He also severed in executive-level positions at Cable and Wireless Communications, a London-based telecommunications company.

“Jeffrey’s tenure in the IT services, telecommunications and banking sectors combined with his unique approach for driving new business and sales growth will no doubt make him an invaluable asset,” said Gomi, in a statement. “We’re certain he’ll make immediate strides, meeting the challenges of a fast-paced and competitive market to continue expanding our Global Enterprise Services, while maintaining the high quality service our customers have come to expect.”

Additionally, Tetsuya Shoji has assumed the role of president and CEO of NTT Com, the company’s information and telecommunications technology solution business.

“I pledge to keep NTT Communications closely attuned to the market environment and customer needs, aiming to act faster than ever before to provide reliable, innovative services and thereby exceed your expectations,” said Shoji, in a message on NTT’s website.

Shoji has been with NTT Group since 1977, and formerly served as senior vice president of NTT Com before being chosen for the new role.
