Managed cloud solution provider NewCloud Networks has appointed Laura Keon as vice president of nationwide channels, responsible for fostering the company’s indirect sales channel business. She will be tasked with redefining, growing and managing all indirect sales channels and will oversee the company’s cloud channel partner program, according to the announcement.

Keon brings several years of channel experience to her new role as channel chief, including a six-year stint at Windstream Communications, where she most recently served as senior director of Indirect Sales. As Senior Director, Keon helped boost the company’s regional annual growth by 109 percent, according to the announcement.

“The addition of Laura Keon as vice president of nationwide channels will help take an already successful indirect sales program to the next level, scaling to net-new markets across the United States,” said Sam V. Kumar, founder and president of NewCloud Networks, in a statement. “This includes a focus on VARs and distributors who continue cloud assimilation to address increasing demand for cloud infrastructure solutions from their traditional hardware customer base.”

In addition to her channel background, Keon also has entrepreneurial, sales and business management experience with Sprint, the city of Pittsburg and GlobalCare, among others.
